How to clean Sterling Silver Jewelry

Whether your sterling silver jewelry looks dull or you want some extra shine to your cubic zirconia, cleaning these types of jewelry is simple. If cleaned regularly, sterling silver and cubic zirconia jewelry will maintain their original appearance with added sparkle and shine. Since the supplies needed to clean the jewelry can be found at home, it is cost effective.

Directions:
1. Fill a small bowl with warm water and mix in about a teaspoon of a mild dish-washing detergent.

2. Stir the mixture with a toothbrush until the water produces soapy suds

3. Lay out a paper towel on the surface being worked on.

4. Hold each piece being cleaned and use the toothbrush to scrub the mixture over the entire piece of jewelry.

5. Scrub the entire piece of jewelry, paying attention to small crevices and folds in the design.

6. Air dry the jewelry on the paper towel and use a jewelry cloth to polish item when dried. This will add more shine

  1. hey!
a method i use is to line a container with aluminum foil, place the jewelry in it, making sure each piece touches the foil, then sprinkle baking soda over it and pour in boiling water to submerge the pieces.

let soak then clean with a toothbrush and dry.

    it works great! :)
i always knew ppl used baking soda to clean jewelry, but i found the foil part online. :)
